WHAT IS A YARN HOP?

Join us for the 13th annual Northern California yarn lovers experience from July 18-20, 2025!

The Wine Country Yarn Hop consists of 5 shops located in the beautiful Wine Country and is a fiber enthusiasts dream tour.

We encourage you to explore and indulge in each shop and their unique assortments of yarn and fiber!

Participants will be entered to win a prize basket at each shop, AND the Grand Prize basket when a complete passport is turned in. Hoppers will also get a FREE pattern at each store!

YARN HOP DETAILS

The 2025 Yarn Hop is FREE and begins July 18, 2025 at 10:00am. 

All 5 shops are open from 10:00 - 5:00 each day of the Hop.

Each Yarn Hopper will receive a passport to be stamped at each shop, as well as 1 raffle ticket per stop. 

New this year: Bring your KAL bunny along for an extra raffle ticket at each shop!

A custom Wine Country Yarn Hop Tote Bag or Lanyard may be purchased at any shop: receive a free enamel pin from each shop when you show your bag or lanyard!

If you’re driving, we recommend that you map out your stops in order and when/where you’ll want to stop for other things like lunch and coffee. Click HERE to see a list of recommended cafes & restaurants.

HOW TO HOP

  1. Start hopping at the shop of your choice!
  2. Receive 1 passport (make sure it’s stamped!), and 1 raffle ticket. One passport per person.
  3. Purchase a custom Wine Country Yarn Hop tote bag or lanyard, and receive your 1st shops custom enamel pin! (optional)
  4. Write your name and phone number on your passport. Keep the passport with you and bring with you to each shop.
  5. Fill out the shop raffle ticket. Leave the raffle ticket at that shop.
  6. Check out the shop’s FREE pattern and download the PDF from the website using the code listed on the passport.
  7. Wander the luscious yarns and fibers in the shop!
  8. Take photos and tag us on social media! #winecountryyarnhop
  9. On to the next shop. Make sure you get a stamp on your passport, and a pin if you purchased a tote bag or lanyard!
  10. Repeats steps 5 - 9 until you have filled your passport with all 5 stamps! You do not have to visit all shops to participate or be entered into individual shop prize baskets. All 5 stamps are required to be entered into the Grand Prize!
  11. Make sure your name and number are on your passport in order to be entered into the Grand Prize!
