FAQ

 1. How do I get my tote bag or lanyard? Most Hoppers will purchase their tote bag and/or lanyard at the first shop they attend during the event. You may also buy ahead on the Wine Country Yarn Hop website. The Yarn Hop branded materials will be available for sale online in early July. You can opt to have it shipped to you, or to pick it up at Cast Away Yarn Shop. Be aware that if you opt for pick up you will want Cast Away to be your first stop so you can collect all of the enamel pins at each stop.

2. Do I have to choose to purchase a bag OR a lanyard, or can I get both? You may purchase both!

3. If I get a bag and a lanyard, do I receive a pin from each shop for each item?  No, pins are limited to one pin per person, regardless of the number of bags or lanyards you have purchased, however any extra Yarn Hop swag at the end of the event will be available for purchase from each shop or the Yarn Hop website.

4. Do I have to purchase a bag or lanyard to participate in the Yarn Hop? No! The Hop is free to join, but if you want to collect the free shop enamel pins, you do have to purchase either a bag or a lanyard in order to do so. 

5. How do I access the free shop patterns? When you attend the Yarn Hop, you'll receive a passport that has a passcode you will use on our website to access the free patterns as PDF downloads. Some shops might also have printed versions available in their shops.

6. Where do I start hopping? At any of the 5 participating shops! You will receive your passport wherever you start. 

7. How do I take part in the Knit-Along (KAL)? All you have to do is knit, crochet, felt or sew (anything handmade!) a bunny of your choice, use the hashtag #hopalongwinecountry if you use Instagram, and bring finished bunny with you to the Hop. You will receive an extra raffle ticket at each shop when you show off your bunny! More info and bunny pattern ideas HERE.

8. Do I have to visit all 5 shops to win a prize? Not entirely! If you visit all 5 shops and turn in a complete passport by 5 pm on the last day of the Hop at any of the 5 shops, you will be entered to win the Grand Prize. But you are also entered to win a prize basket a each shop you visit! You'll be offered a raffle ticket for the individual shop prizes when you get your passport stamped at each shop.
